My Review:
I borrowed this book from a friend of mine. One thing a lot of you don’t know is that I have Asperger’s, (even though they don’t use that term anymore) so she thought I might enjoy it. I didn’t find out until I was an adult, but looking back it makes so much sense. I sat down thinking I would read one chapter and ended up finishing the whole book in one sitting. It’s a very fast and easy read. The writing is like someone is just talking to you rather than a textbook so it makes for a fun book.
As I was reading through this book I was shocked how it pretty much described me perfectly. I was laughing at parts and it really explained a lot about me. It also has sections from the partner’s perspective which is really insightful.
I think this book is important because women show different autistic traits than men so a lot of times it is overlooked. I wasn’t sure if I was going to review this book on my blog because I didn’t know if readers would be interested in it. I decided to because I think it is a great book for anybody that’s in a relationship with or knows a woman with Asperger’s.
